Как да разбера дали USBдонгълът Turbo-x DTT-3000 е по стандарт DAB или DAB+? Много оскъдна документация и на хартия и в интернет ...


 Иначе го подкарах с welle.io под Линукс и под TotalMedia под Уиндоус. На Тотал Медия пише просто DAB ?

Поради причината, че в България скоро няма да видим истинско ефирно  DAB radio, може да се запознаете с алтернативен начин за слушане на DAB мултиплекси от чужбина посредством Сателитните им фийдове за разпространение  на териториите на Германия, Франция, Италия,Гърция,Великобритания,Норвегия...
Трябва ви сателитен приемник с Енигма2 /сат.платка и Убунту/Windows c WSL2(отново Убунту на него).

This guide explains how to install:
1) WSL on Windows
2) Ubuntu inside WSL
3) ETI Tools
4) DABlin

The instructions below are intended for Windows 10/11 with WSL2.

0. About VMA DAB Launcher
--------------------------------------------------

VMA DAB Launcher is a Windows utility that allows receiving
DAB services broadcasted over satellite.

Because no suitable DAB tools exist for Windows, the common
use is via ETI Tools and DABlin, both made for Linux.

However, it is possible to run them using Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)!

But it normally requires to combine the transponder reception
and forwarding via TCP with manually typed commands in a Linux shell.

VMA DAB Launcher simply creates a Windows GUI that automates this
and allows recording and playback of the DAB services.

--------------------------------------------------
1. Install WSL
--------------------------------------------------

1. Open PowerShell as Administrator.
2. Run:

   wsl --install

3. Reboot Windows when asked.
4. After reboot, let Ubuntu finish its first-time setup.
5. Create your Linux username and password.

Useful checks:

   wsl -l -v
   wsl --status

If Ubuntu was not installed automatically, list available distributions with:

   wsl --list --online

Then install Ubuntu explicitly with:

   wsl --install -d Ubuntu

2. Update Ubuntu packages
--------------------------------------------------

Open Ubuntu from the Start menu, then run:

   sudo apt-get update
   sudo apt-get upgrade -y

3. Install build tools and libraries
--------------------------------------------------

Install the general build tools:

   sudo apt-get install -y git gcc g++ cmake make pkg-config

Install the libraries commonly needed to build DABlin GTK:

   sudo apt-get install -y libmpg123-dev libfaad-dev libsdl2-dev libgtkmm-3.0-dev

Optional alternative AAC decoder for DAB+:

   sudo apt-get install -y libfdk-aac-dev

4. Install DABlin
--------------------------------------------------

Option A - easiest: install from Ubuntu package repository

   sudo apt-get install -y dablin

This is the quickest method. It may not be the newest version.

Option B - build the latest version from source

   cd ~
   git clone https://github.com/Opendigitalradio/dablin.git
   cd dablin
   mkdir build
   cd build
   cmake ..
   make
   sudo make install

Test it:

   dablin -h
   dablin_gtk

Notes:
- dablin is the console version.
- dablin_gtk is the GTK GUI version.
- If gtkmm is missing, only the console version may be built.

5. Install ETI Tools prerequisites
--------------------------------------------------

Install the basic prerequisites:

   sudo apt-get install -y git g++ cmake

Build and install libfec:

   cd ~
   git clone https://github.com/Opendigitalradio/ka9q-fec.git
   cd ka9q-fec
   mkdir build
   cd build
   cmake ..
   make
   sudo make install
   sudo ldconfig

Optional packages:
- icecast2 is only needed if you want ni2out / shout output.
- libzmq3-dev is only needed if you want ZeroMQ support.

Commands:

   sudo apt-get install -y icecast2
   sudo apt-get install -y libzmq3-dev

6. Install ETI Tools
--------------------------------------------------

Clone and build eti-tools:

   cd ~
   git clone https://github.com/piratfm/eti-tools.git
   cd eti-tools
   make
   sudo make install
   sudo ldconfig

If make fails because of missing libraries, install the missing package and run make again.

Test the main tools:

   fedi2eti --help
   ts2na -h
   na2ni -h

Depending on the tool version, some programs may print usage text only when started without parameters.

7. Typical commands used with VMA DAB Launcher
--------------------------------------------------

Play a satellite EDI feed directly in DABlin GTK:

   nc | fedi2eti | dablin_gtk

Record ETI to file instead of playing it:

   nc | fedi2eti > /tmp/test.eti

For TS-based feeds that need ts2na and na2ni:

   nc | ts2na -p -s | na2ni | dablin_gtk

Record ETI from that pipeline:

   nc | ts2na -p -s | na2ni > /tmp/test.eti

Example based on your preset style:

   nc 192.168.1.112 2345 | fedi2eti 3000 228.10.1.5 10010 > /tmp/wdr_dab.eti

8. Useful WSL commands from Windows
--------------------------------------------------

Run a Linux command from PowerShell:

   wsl bash -lc "dablin -h"

Run a command in a specific distribution:

   wsl -d Ubuntu bash -lc "dablin_gtk"

Stop all WSL instances:

   wsl --shutdown

9. Troubleshooting
--------------------------------------------------

A) "wsl --install" does not work
- Make sure Windows is updated.
- Check that virtualization is enabled in BIOS/UEFI.
- If needed, install Ubuntu explicitly with:

   wsl --install -d Ubuntu

B) DABlin builds but dablin_gtk is missing
- Install GTK dependencies again:

   sudo apt-get install -y libgtkmm-3.0-dev

- Then rebuild DABlin.

C) ETI Tools report a libfec error such as libfec.so.3
- Refresh the library cache:

   sudo ldconfig

D) First connection shows EDI sequence warnings
- That can happen when attaching to a live stream mid-flow.
- If audio or ETI recording works afterwards, the initial warning is often harmless.

10. Recommended setup for VMA DAB Launcher
--------------------------------------------------

For the launcher, Ubuntu under WSL2 is the simplest target.

Recommended components:
- WSL2
- Ubuntu
- DABlin installed either from apt or from source
- ETI Tools built from source

After installation, verify these commands exist inside WSL:

   which dablin
   which dablin_gtk
   which fedi2eti
   which ts2na
   which na2ni

If all of them return paths, the launcher should be able to call them.
