Nokia IDE Interface fitting in instructions

 
1) Remove all screws and clips that are circled in red


















2) Snip the plastic supports using pliers

3) Connect the IDE cable onto the IDE interface



 

4) Place the black support rings so they line up with the holes on the DBox PCB





5) Push the IDE interface into place, it should click into the Dbox's memory socket.  Once this is done put the white screws through the holes. Make sure that the screws also go through the black support rings in step 4.



 

6) Now screw on the nuts (bottom of the Dbox's PCB) to the other end of the screws that you connected in step 5.



 

7) Remove telephone modem







 

Connect Smaller IDE cable to Dbox's modem slot





 

9) Connect other end of smaller IDE cable to IDE Interface

 

10) Replace the screws that you removed earlier on (circle din red below)



 

11) This is the Hard disk mounting plate.  Take note of the holes circled in red



 

12) Place on a 2.5" laptop Hard disk

 

 

13) screw the hard disk into place



 

14) Connect the 40 way IDE cable onto the 3.5-2.5 inch IDE adapter taking note of pin 1 (circled in red)





 

15) Now connect the 2.5 inch adapter to the 2.5inch hard disk.



 

16) Screw the Hard disk mounting place securely onto the Dbox

17) Now connect the hard disk power connector together and secure any loose wires







Now you are ready to install any image onto your Nokia DBOX that supports the IDE interface
